hahaah, today is day12 and the topic of the 40days of love is act immediately, act radically.

ACT IMMEDIATELY
From the book, we know even Jesus ask us to put the priority, to solve the relationship problem before we want to solve other problem.it show how important to act immediately when you know something in your relationship went wrong. :)

For example, there is a big dam which produce the electricity for one city. It is very useful and benefits for all people until they found a little small crack there. When there is a crack in the dam, it can turn up to a nightmare very quickly, so they start to fix it when the crack is just small. What is the moral of the story?? When the dam has a small crack, they have the choice to decide whether they want to fix it. If they fixed it earlier, it cost nothing and it doesn't cause any destruction. But when they choose to wait or ignore, the crack will become much bigger, and the cost will be much higher, and at eventually it will harm and kill people who rely on it. No matter what will benefit you, it will turn up to a disaster if you dunno how to control it. Solve the relationship problem is just like the example of crack in the dam, solve immediately!

ACT RADICALLY
In the book, it show how Jesus teach us in Matthew 5:30. Solve the problem by solving the root of the problem is the way to solve the relationship problem also. In fact, it is the way to solve every problem!

For example, when we want to clean the wild grass in our garden when spring coming. What will we do? We pluck those unwanted grass or flower from middle of the stem or we pull them out with the root?? We understand that if the root of the plant is still there, eventually it grow again. And have you all realized? The longer you wait, the deeper the root grow, it cost you much more time to pull it out. Let's go back to the dam example. Today you find a crack, and have you ask yourselves which is the most effective and correct way to repair it?? If two solution is proposed, one is suck out all the water from the dam and another one is just use extra cement to close the crack and put some reinforcement more there. Which one we will choose?

Conclusion
No matter how good is a construction, good foundation until good planning and work. It has a life span. If we know how to do the remedial work after maybe 10 years when we find the problem, they can last for another 10 years. Same like relationship, no matter how good is our base, sometime we will face the problem that we need to solve together. Not only relationship in family or spouse, sometime even our relationship with God!

Act immediately, Act radically!
